It’s that time of year again, and no I don’t mean Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

What I’m talking about is the annual World’s Best List from Travel + Leisure.

Every year Travel + Leisure Magazine lets its readers vote for the World’s Best and the results are out for 2022. The list ranges from the World’s Best Spas to the World’s Best Rental Car Companies!

There was even a category of the Best Cities in the US! Here are the 15 cities that made the top of the list:

1. Charleston, South Carolina 2. New Orleans, Louisiana 3. Santa Fe, New Mexico 4. Savannah, Georgia 5. Honolulu, Hawai’i 6. New York City, New York 7. Chicago, Illinois

8. Alexandria, Virginia

9. San Antonio, Texas 10. Boston, Massachusetts 11. Austin, Texas 12. Williamsburg, Virginia 13. Asheville, North Carolina 14. San Diego, California 15. Nashville, Tennessee

What a list! Am I right?! Being the nice people that we are, we found the best sightseeing e-scooter/bike routes and e-scooter/bike-friendly activities in some of the best cities to visit in the US! Save this now, thank us later!

First up, we have the number one, top spot going to Charleston, South Carolina. Being that Charleston is one of the country's oldest cities, there are parts of the city that were designed pre-automobiles, meaning they are narrow, typically one-way, and flat. This is the perfect combination for our favorite pastime; saving-money-because-we-can-ride-bikes-instead-of-taking-users/taxis woot woot!

Charleston is a great place to explore by bike. The city is actively taking measures to improve its bikeabilty score, prompting a recent hike in biking trends! A current trending biking route is the Battery2Beach biking route, which takes you from The Battery to different popular beaches near Charleston.

If you are looking for another picturesque route, take a ride through Hampton Park, the city's biggest park; 60 acres to be exact! Hampton Park is jam-packed with history, scenic gardens, and some insta-worthy shots (we won't judge!) The park also has special times during the week and weekend, where cars aren't allowed; so walkers, runners, and bikers can roam freely. Bicycling.com put together a good one-day itinerary if you are on a time crunch or don't even know where to start! Looking for something light? We suggest a bike ride to the Morris Island Lighthouse. From Downtown Charleston to the lookout on Folly Beach is about 10 miles each way. Bring a picnic and enjoy the gorgeous views!

Our last Charleston MUST is The Battery of course! The Battery is the seawall that acted as a defense system during times of war. Now, it offers some of the best views in the city! On a nice day, you'll see Fort Sumter, Castle Pinckney, the USS Yorktown, Fort Moultrie, and Sullivan’s Island, so this ride is perfect for you history buffs out there!
