Updated: Jul 24
So you want to become an Airbnb Superhost? Well, you're in luck!

We uncover how the program works and the things you can do to get there!
If you’re in the short-term/vacation rental space, you're probably already well-aware that Airbnb calls its top-performing hosts, Superhosts. Superhosts receive a special badge feature that lets their guests know they have an elevated host status.
So how exactly does this whole “Superhost” thing work? According to Airbnb, there is no application, sign-up, subscription, etc. Each quarter Airbnb will evaluate a hosts’ hosting performance from the past year. This is inclusive of all of the properties a host manages on one account. To be considered to be an Airbnb Superhost, all one has to do is meet the program requirements by the assessment date.
Here are the requirements Airbnb base their assessment from:
The host must have completed at least 10 trips or 3 reservations that total at least 100 nights
Tip: Actively update your listings and advertise your listings outside of Airbnb, like travel groups for your city. (Make sure the group allows self-promotion or the promotion of businesses)
The host must maintain a 90% response rate or higher, so don’t leave anyone on read, no matter if it’s just a simple "okay" or "thank you".
The host has maintained a 1% cancellation rate (1 cancellation per 100 reservations) or lower, with exceptions made for those that fall under Extenuating Circumstances policy. So make sure your listing calendars are always up-to-date.
The host has maintained a 4.8 overall rating or higher (based on the date the guest left a review, not the date they checked out, over the past 365 days).
Make sure you are providing the best quality experience for your guests.
Provide clear, concise, and efficient communication with your guests.
No one likes a catfish! Make sure you are accurately representing your property with pictures and descriptions.
Encourage your guests to leave a review. This can be done with posters, stickers, or even a sweet treat like a mint or chocolate, but remember don't over do it!
Make sure you make your guests’ stay memorable, whether that be with Mount amenities or other amenities. To find the best vacation rental add-ons, here are 7 Bonus Amenities That Will Have Your Guests Coming Back For More
