Becoming A Mount Host
Updated: Jul 24
So you probably have tons of questions on what it’s like being a Mount Host? Quite simply, it’s like having an extra income, without putting in the extra effort.
The best thing about being a Mount Host is that the limit does not exist (having a Mean Girls moment) when it comes to what and how many amenities you can rent at your property with Mount.
So first off, let me tell you how easy it is to get started; the number one thing is figuring out the amenities you want to rent at your short-term rental or property. Just go look in your garage. What's in there that is collecting dust - a bike, golf cart, paddleboard, kayak? Also pay attention to what your guests are asking for. Are they constantly asking you for ways to get around your town or city, other than car or public transportation.

Got your amenities? Perfect! Next, go ahead and create an account on our Mount platform, it’s super quick and easy. We just want to know a little bit about your amenities and property. Once everything is verified, we will send you some things to get you started and from there it's easy riding (no pun intended). Your amenities will be live and your guests will be able to start your amenities.
So what if you don’t have any rentable amenities at your short-term rental/property at the moment?
Not a problem; we’ve got your back! If you would like to order scooters or electric bikes from Mount, please email help@rentmount.com and we can get you set up on our waiting list!
Do I have to be in the short-term rental space to list amenities on Mount?
The answer to your question is short and sweet: NOPE!
Mount caters to short-term rentals, hotels, apartments, co-working spaces, bike shops, and everything in between. Mount can be used at virtually any space that offers safe storage for your amenity when it’s not being rented.
At this point you're probably asking yourself, “What can I list on Mount?” and the answer is… pretty much anything and no, your cat definitely doesn’t count.
If you’re still at a loss of what to list, think about things that a traveler would need while visiting your city. Maybe a surfboard and beach chairs if you’re on the coast, some snow boots in the mountains, or maybe a kayak near Lake Superior. At Mount, the stars are the limit, only because we can’t list them on the app yet.
